The Westbury Gingerbread Cottages

Not just a room - a complete colonial cottage for your exclusive use.

The quaint little village of Westbury, being centrally located in the north of Tasmania, is the perfect base from which to explore Launceston, Devonport, the Tamar wineries, Cradle Mountain, Sheffield and the Caves, Stanley and the North-West and of course the many attractions that Westbury has to offer.

We have four delightfully individual cottages dating from the 1820s: The Gingerbread Cottage, The Corner Cottage, The Old Bakehouse, The Servant's Quarters and a 1920s cottage The Bungalow.

The cottages have from one to four bedrooms each accommodating from two to seven guests. In total we can accommodate up to twenty guests.

Decorated with period furniture and memorabilia, our cottages each have fully euipped kitchens, and we supply everything you need for a big breakfast.

At the end of your day enjoy a quiet evening in front of our cosy gas log fires, or dine out at one of Westbury's restaurants - the choice is yours. A supermarket, bottle shop and bakery are all nearby.

We offer home baked "goodies" every afternoon, dial-up internet connection, washing machine and dryer, courtyard BBQ, free off street parking and TV and DVD player.

Recommended by Lonely Planet: "These award-winning self-contained cottages are delightful, filled with a cosy ambience, memorabilia and quirky touches, antiques, mod cons and surrounded by fragrant gardens." - Lonely Planet Tasmania, Edition 4, 2005
